THE STORY

THE BENCH takes its name from the workbench.

It is where coffee is weighed, tested, adjusted and refined. A practical space where small details are repeated until everything works as it should.

That is what this coffee represents: careful work, consistent results and a cup that earns its place in your everyday routine.

Built at the workbench. Made for the daily cup.

Behind the beans

A carefully balanced blend of natural Brazil and washed Colombia, roasted in small batches in Whitminster, Gloucestershire.

Brazil provides body, chocolate and roasted nut sweetness. Colombia brings clarity, caramel-like sweetness and a subtle fruit lift

How to brew it

THE BENCH is designed to work across different brew methods.

As espresso, expect a rounded, creamy shot with plenty of body. With milk, the chocolate and caramel flavours become sweeter and more comforting. It also works well as batch brew, moka pot or cafetière.

Espresso

Espresso

Use 18 g of coffee and aim for 36 g of espresso in 25–32 seconds. If it runs faster, grind finer; if it runs slower, grind coarser. The result should taste sweet, balanced and full-bodied.

Filter V60

Filter (V60)

Use 15 g coffee to 250 g water at around 93°C. Taste again as the cup cools.

French press

French press

Use 30 g coffee to 500 g water and steep for four minutes for a full, comforting cup.
